CHICKEN VARUVAL / FRY

                       

Last week I posted a recipe for Chicken Kuzhambu, if we cook Chicken Kuzhambu in the way I mentioned in that post then preparing Chicken Varuval would become very easy, same kuzhambu gravy can be used to make Varuval.

Here comes the recipe for Chicken Varuval,

Ingredients:

Onion 1 no
Coriander Leaves As needed
Mustard  1/2 tsp
Bengal Gram  1 tbsp
Urad dal 1 tbsp
Chilli Powder 1 tbsp (As needed)
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves 5 nos
Salt As needed




Method:

 1. In a pan add oil , once it becomes hot add mustard, Bengal gram and Urad dal.

2. After a minute add onions and curry leaves, saute it till the onions become translucent. Add Chilli powder and turmeric powder to the cooked onions



3. Now filter Chicken Pieces from Chicken Kuzhambu (Check Chicken Kuzhambu recipe) and add it into the pan.

4. Add 3 to 4 table spoons of Chicken Kuzhambu along with chicken Pieces into the pan. Since the chicken pieces already cooked in kuzhambu, no need to cook for long time. Just mix everything well and wait until the gravy becomes thick.Finally add pepper powder and saute for 2 minutes.



5. Now transfer the gravy to the bowl, add coriander leaves to it and serve hot.
